Photography: Little Pink Sneakers
Sometimes I am more interested in the story behind the story. I’m the type of mom who hangs up the picture of her kids’ left over orange peels instead of the picture of their smiling faces. Why? Because the orange peels remind me of how much they love to eat “orn-gess” and how they completely ignored the camera once given the okay to pick the fruit off the tree and eat it immediately. That’s exactly what happen at this photo shoot for one adorable family. While we got some great shots of the kids, at the end, this mother said, don’t forget her little girl’s shoes. I am sure that the memories she has of her playful daughter dancing around in her little pink sneakers is one that will always stick with her and I am glad that we could capture it as well.
THE TAKE AWAY: Make your photo shoot what you want it to be. If it’s about the smiles, be sure to capture those. If it’s about the story behind the story, be sure to save room for those shots as well. Not to mention, these types of pictures do make excellent home wall art with deep personal meaning.
