Chalkboard Garden Stake Signs
This project is inspired by my hubby, who has been hard at work getting our delicious garden in order. I made these extremely easy chalkboard garden stake signs to assist him in labeling his planted seeds.
Here’s how ‘You Can Too’:
Pick up some wooden garden stakes from your garden or home supply store and paint them with black chalkboard paint (available at most craft stores for under $4 or even less if you have a 50% off coupon). Let the painted stakes dry for 24 hours. Cure the stakes by rubbing the surface with white chalk. Erase the rubbed on chalk and now you are ready to use the stake like a chalkboard.
THE TAKE AWAY: My hubby loved these stake signs, but didn’t love my placement of them as much. It turns out that what I thought was squash was not actually squash. So if you are like me and haven’t developed a green thumb yet, make sure you leave the placement of the signs to the resident gardener.
